Naung Loka Pusaka is the winning proposal to revitalize Taman Kota Intan in West Jakarta. It blends heritage preservation with adaptable, mixed-use urban living. The design reconstructs historical structures based on archival research and reintroduces an urban fabric aligned with old maps of Kota Tua.
ARCHITECTURE
Architectural contrasts highlight heritage status while ensuring coherent amalgamation with modern extensions. Emphasizing community involvement, the project promotes local ownership and economic opportunities through integrated residential units and contemporary commercial spaces.
Sustainability anchors the project, with features such as green rooftops, solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and passive design strategies for natural ventilation and thermal comfort. Embracing the past and the present, this inclusive, eco-conscious design transforms Taman Kota Intan into a vibrant, accessible place to live, work and play, for all.
