VFE & Feruni Hydroponic Farming (Projek Urban Hijau)

Projek Urban Hijau was an initiative taken up by the VFE team in November 2022 to promote awareness and education of environmental sustainability to disadvantaged children and youth. Through a collaboration with Yayasan Feruni and its 7 affiliated orphanages, VFE introduced sustainable urban farming to the youth to mitigate climate change while encouraging entrepreneurship.

The Kasih Harmoni Paya Jaras home in Sungai Buloh, Selangor was chosen due to its well-lit area and ample space for children to operate the hydroponic system. This initiative could potentially develop entrepreneurship skills among the young residents by enabling them to sell fresh produce around their neighborhoods.
